About Us...
The Rhinebeck Legion Band is a community concert band that provides an annual summer concert series for the Town of Rhinebeck and surrounding communities in the mid Hudson Valley in upstate New York. Formed in the early 1920's, the band has enjoyed a long and active performance history in both Dutchess and Columbia Counties, including such venues as the Dutchess County Fair, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Mills Mansion, & Olana.
The members of the Rhinebeck Legion Band represent a wide range in both age and musical skill level. They are united through a common enjoyment of playing together as a concert band and performing concert band literature.
The Rhinebeck Legion Band rehearses once a week on Tuesday evenings in the Rhinebeck Town Hall. The band's season starts in late May (on the Tuesday before Memorial Day) and runs through the end of August.
